Batik

This is my first time create a batik. This is quite hard for me to wax and i was trying to give up, but at the end i still keep on going until i finish it. I made a Spongebob it is because i love this cartoon so much when i was young and i make it blue in color because it represent the other half of Spongebob, which is a female one. In another way, it can be also a poisoned Spongebob.

Spongebob is a cartoon character from Spongebob SquarePants, the TV series. Spongebob SquarePants, was created and designed by cartoonist Stephen Hillenburg (an ex fry cook, and marine biologist). In the cartoon series, Spongebob is portrayed as an annoying, over optimistic, childlike, naïve, sea creature who gives his best shot at anything he does and is overly friendly, to the point he does not understand social cues (eg:- He thinks Squidward, his neighbour, enjoys his company but in actual fact, he loathes Spongebob). As he drew the character, Stephen Hillenburg decided that a "squeaky-clean square" (like a kitchen sponge) fits the concept of an upbeat, happy Spongebob, instead of the original shape of a sea sponge, which was completely abnormal and uninteresting. Lastly, the characters in Spongebob, were all inspired by, and representative of the seven deadly sins. Spongebob represents the sin of “lust”, as he shows extreme affection to those around him.
